The Histology Technician is responsible for the work of the Histology section of the Laboratory, including Cytology and Autopsy. The Histology Technician performs all surgical pathology, autopsy, and cytology procedures, maintains equipment, and follows quality assurance protocols.

Requirements:
Must be a high school graduate and have successfully completed a CAHEA/NAACLS accredited Histotechnology program or military equivalent.
At least one full year of experience in all aspects of Histology, including surgical pathology/cytology/autopsy is preferred.
Must be registered as a Histology Technician (HT) by ASCP or other national certifying agency.
