Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Pathology Support Technician for Morristown Medical Center to work varied shifts and one Saturday per month.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Position:

• Answer phone calls for laboratory information
• Perform specimen accessioning
• Prepare samples for analysis
• Prepare grossing area for pathologist
• Prepare frozen specimens for pathologist
• Cut and prepare frozen tissue for slides and cassettes
• Stain slides
• Assist with FNA's in procedural areas
• Pick up lab specimen in various hospital procedural areas
• Prepare specimens for send-outs

Minimum Education Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Minimum Experience Required:

• Laboratory/pathology experience preferred
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred
