IU Health Pathology Laboratory System Services offers some of the most comprehensive laboratory services in Indiana for both clinical and anatomic pathology!
Position Details: • Full Time • Monday - Friday • 100% outpatient (laboratory work) • Diverse and complex specimen case load; will be comprised of surgical pathology specimens within the adult populations in our system. The expected volumes would include surgical specimen and frozen sections. • Practice locations include the IU Health Central Pathology Lab • Team currently includes 52 Pathologists, 9 Pathologists' Assistants, and 2 Grossing Techs • Position will require a training period with orientation specific to our system, as well as specific to the technical protocols expected by our staff physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
The pathologists’ assistant position will include surgical pathology specimen grossing, Pathology resident interaction, and frozen section for the adult patient population within our system.
Qualifications: • Candidate will be required to have trained in a NAACLS accredited pathologists’ assistant program with ASCP board certification. • Open to new graduates. • Candidate will have the ability to bring a high level of personal integrity and a willingness to collaborate with staff physicians and co-workers in a dynamic and evolving practice.

The IU Health Pathology Laboratory resides in a 150,000-square-foot dedicated central laboratory building in downtown Indianapolis with first-class facilities.
