Position Information:
The Team Leader Pathology is responsible for the processing and allocation of laboratory specimens and orders from all sources with minimal patient impact. Responsible for verification of patient/specimen identification appropriateness of specimen and accompanying orders. Responsible for the daily organization of the Specimen Processing sections of the Clinical laboratory. Responsibilities include organization of daily workflow within the section scheduling of staff for daily assignments IS monitors related to specimen processing training/education of staff maintaining proper and complete training records in compliance with laboratory standards and accrediting agencies and representation of the laboratory to the customers in the hospital. Assists with the annual and introductory performance appraisals on assigned staff. Assists the supervisor with Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement activities. Assists with writing of new procedures and the updating of current procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:
2 Years Clinical - Clinical Laboratory - Specimen Processing Required - In Healthcare - Multi-Hospital System Preferred

Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Hours of Work:
Monday through Friday 4pm-12am

Weekend Requirements:
No Weekends
