The Emory University Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine has a full-time academic faculty position available in head and neck (H&N) surgical pathology. We seek a non-tenure track Surgical Pathologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor to join an interactive, collegial group of H&N surgical pathology and oral maxillofacial pathology faculty in our fully subspecialized department. Our three H&N services include a dedicated H&N frozen section service, an expert consult service and approximately 3000 H&N/oral and thyroid/endocrine specimens per year originating from three Emory-affiliated hospitals, as well as academic and community-based outpatient clinics. A large AP/CP residency program, 14 accredited subspecialty fellowships, advanced molecular diagnostic capabilities, and close ties to the NCI-designated Winship Cancer Institute provide abundant opportunities for clinical and translational scholarship and teaching (see www.pathology.emory.edu). The successful candidate will be board-eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology and also be eligible for medical licensure in Georgia. Fellowship training and/or expertise in H&N pathology is preferred. Interest in a second anatomic pathology subspecialty is desirable. Compensation and faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
