Schedule: FT Days

 Shift:

•  M-F position with some possibility for weekend coverage as needed.
•  Hours would be 0700—1530
• $2000 Sign on Bonus

The role you’ll contribute:

The Histotechnologist is responsible for processing of human tissue and body fluids.  This includes accessioning, processing, staining, cover slipping, labeling & distribution for final evaluation & diagnosis.

·         Produces high quality slides & stains within a time frame that contributes to effective patient care.

·         Prepare, evaluates & stains samples according to cytology guidelines.

·         Ensures proper storage of slide archive material.

·         Uses the LIS efficiently to accession specimens, order tests & obtain information, in keeping with established protocols.

·         Recognizes that the attainment of knowledge is every employee’s responsibility & accepts accountability for staying current on all written or electronic communication.

·         Understands & utilizes department resources, including department manuals, administrative policy manuals, safety manuals, MSDS & other reference material.

·         Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment and follows established chemical hygiene and biohazard protocols.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

·         Associate’s Degree or Graduate of a Technical School

·         No previous Experience is Required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

·         Bachelor’s Degree
