Overview Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Clinical Lab Assistant I for the MP Specimen Processing in Morris Plains lab to work varied shifts including every other weekend.Responsibilities Essential Function/Responsibilities:Performs accurate patient registration/accessioning of laboratory specimensDemonstrates computer proficiency and great communication skillsReviews pending logs and investigates/resolves specimen issuesEmbeds tissue specimens in paraffinMaintains department supply inventoryDistributes slides to the Pathologists and CytologistsHandles specimen storage and disposalHandles department chemical waste collection/storageOther duties as assigned by the Department
