Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Sonographer Technologist at the Radiology-Ultrasonagraphy Depatment to work various shifts including weekends.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for US exams and explains the procedure to the patients prior to exam.
• Correlates the clinical history and the patient with the US exam to be performed.
• Differentiates artifacts from the normal pathological processes and recognizes equipment limitations.
• Maintains lists of sonographic exams performed from each patient as well as document the preliminary reading by the radiologists.
• Troubleshoot problems regarding eaily operation of equipment-notifying appropriate personnel in the event of equipment malfunction.
• Communicate effectively with Manager, Coordinator, Leads, Physicians and other personnel in a professional manner.

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Graduate of an RDMS Accredited Ultrasound Program required

Minimun Experience:

• RDMS - New graduates must be RDMS eligible and passed the physics portion of exam.
