We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a dynamic approach to health communications and project leadership – someone who can partner with non-profit, government, and other clients; is curious and empathetic toward unique audiences; is comfortable working in sensitive topic areas; and can keep a project on strategy, budget, and schedule to ultimately deliver something that helps drive positive social and behavioral change.
As a Health Communications Project Manager at Banyan, you will:
Lead projects and foster strong client relationships. Ensure that Banyan’s work satis?es all contract and client requirements, is of high quality, and remains in-budget and on-time.
Oversee finances, scheduling, and deliverable quality for projects.
Schedule, plan, and facilitate meetings with clients and partners to achieve agreed-upon outcomes. Lead the creation of agendas and presentations, provide written and verbal context for deliverables via email or presentation, and deliver notes and action items in a clear, concise format.
Develop, engage, and support teams to implement project tasks. Collaborate across teams to develop best practices and processes.
Develop work plans, requirements documents, briefs, and other foundational documentation to support project strategy and implementation.
Cultivate knowledge, skills, and best practices in topical and technical areas within your projects and contribute knowledge, skills, and best practices to internal strategy/problem solving meetings and deliverable reviews.
Triage, interpret, and organize feedback from clients; work with internal teams to address feedback and develop strategic solutions while ensuring feasibility.
Review deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and quality, ensuring that all agreed-upon revisions are completed, and that delivery to clients is timely and meets all requirements.
Contribute to business development by cultivating relationships with potential partners and clients, proactively identifying opportunities and growing work with existing clients, identifying and pursuing opportunities with new clients, and supporting proposal writing and development.

An expert at coordinating and conducting activities related to long- and short-range planning; program and project development, implementation, and evaluation; risk assessment and mitigation
A seasoned professional with exceptional communication, organizational and time management skills, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to change
Experienced at leading multiple projects simultaneously
Able to align strategic and creative implementation with the project strategy
Experienced managing or working with diverse teams
Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with others; and the ability to work both independently (with limited supervision) and as a team member (preferred experience operating in a matrixed environment)
Adept at meeting deadlines and adhering to budgets without oversight

Required skill and experiences include:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public health, behavioral or social sciences, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
5+ years of project management experience (PMP certification is a plus)
Background in communications and/or marketing projects
Experience working with state and/or federal clients (consulting experience preferred)
Excellent communication skills, with exceptional presentation, writing, and active listening skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience managing budgets and teams
Compensation:
Openings for this position exist at multiple levels and compensation ranges. Compensation for Project Manager roles at Banyan [range from $80,000 to $100,000] or [start at $80,000], commensurate with experience and role level. The hiring team will be able to provide and discuss the relevant salary range with each applicant during their interview process.
