The Medical Technician is responsible for independently performing a variety of difficult and complex laboratory procedures and examinations within various disciplines of the clinical laboratory. Additional duties includes accessioning of patient specimens into the laboratory information system, instructing patients on the collection of urine and stool samples, and the collection of blood specimens by venipuncture. This is an INTERMITTENT work schedule position. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/31/2022. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
