Position SummaryThis position is a physician support role for the Surgical Pathology area in the Pathology Department, and is responsible for quality, equipment, inventory and procedural oversight consistent with established standards, protocols, regulations and requirements. This position assists pathologists with the following: educational conferences; receiving, examining, processing, sectioning surgical pathology specimens; prosection of autopsies and tissue sampling for microscopic examination; reviewing clinical information patient medical records; gross/microscopic photography; radiography; computerized image processing; pulmonary barium angiograms; morphometric analysis.
