Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (General Diagnostic Radiology)
The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) independently performs General Diagnostic routine exams of the head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremities as well as specialized exams such as gastric, urology, endoscopic, fluoroscopic and portable exams. DRTs perform procedures and examinations in hospitals or clinics under the direction of radiologists and other medical officers. The objective of the examinations and procedures is to produce radiographic studies used in medical diagnosis.
