We are seeking a knowledgeable and insightful Bilingual (English/Spanish) Internist with an innovative mindset, oriented to change, to provide high quality, comprehensive primary medical services to our culturally diverse adult population on a continuing basis. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring excellent patient care to improve patient experience, operational processes, and positive patient outcomes.
Serving as a clinical leader of the multidisciplinary team, you will:
Provide direct patient care including assessing their needs for specialty referrals, diagnostic and in-patient care; prescribing medications; and formulating ongoing treatment/disease management plans
Counsel/educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease diagnosis/prevention, self-management, and other lifestyle changes
Actively participate in hospital-wide Quality and Performance Improvement efforts
The chosen professional must have:
Graduated from an accredited medical school
Successfully completed a Residency in Internal Medicine
A current and valid NYS License to practice medicine
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine
Demonstrated experience as a General Medicine Physician
Qualification for (teaching) appointment to Medical Staff
The ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently
