This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Learn more The position is an Advanced Diagnostic Radiologic Picture Archival Communication System Technologist in Imaging services . The incumbent serves as a liaison for multiple services to ensure the PACS system is configured to optimize imaging capabilities; the incumbent also performs DRT functions which may include complex modalities such as CT, MR, Mammography, ultrasound and IR. Duties include but not limited to: Independently serve as a liaison for OIT, Biomedical employees and clinical users to ensure the P ACS system is configured to optimize Imaging and clinical operations as well as distribution capabilities. Uses standard approaches to perform a variety of duties related to digital image support issues. Conducting extensive research and compilation of daily data from diverse sources. Extracts and assembles information. Conducts analysis and develops reports or presentations. Provides first line technical support for image transmission, voice recognition and display errors related to modalities. Initiates proper repairs when possible and instruct users in proper operation or work arounds, and initiates service level agreements. Coordinating repair requests with appropriate services or vendors when necessary. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating daily exams to identify and update dictation (VR) status, modality image (Dicom) failures and assures integrity of images and data integration between Vi ST A Rad and/or commercial PACS system.
