Cytotechnologist
The Cytotechnologist is responsible for the screening and reporting of negative gynecological cytology cases, and identifying and referring abnormal cases to the pathologist. They are also responsible for the screening of non-gynecological specimens for the identification of abnormalities prior to the pathologist examination of the specimen. The cytotechnologist also maintains accurate quality control and quality assurance records. Major Responsibilities: Microscopically screen slides to assess adequacy and distinguish varying degrees of atypia, dysplasia and malig-nancy.
