| Busy neurology practice looking for neuro diagnostic tech to perform EEGs, NCS, and Visual Evoked Potentials in office. The Neurodiagnostic Technician, under general supervision, will perform EEGs and NCS testing using proper technique for placing and attaching the electrodes and for positioning as well as Visual Evoked Potentials testing. Interprets wave characteristics accurately during each test to detect evidence of brain disorders or nerve disorders, and provides interpretation to the neurologist. Monitors and records patient's reaction to specific activities such as breathing directions or the introduction of various stimuli, in a through and accurate manner. Performs accurate EEG recordings of NCS testing in a clinical setting on Cadwell equipment. Adapts methods for instrumentation to obtain optimal results based on history, clinical observations and test findings. Summarizes patient's neurologic status and clinical history from the patient chart, patient, or other persons. Explains recording procedure to patient and family members. Cleans and maintains equipment in good operating condition. Performs minor maintenance and repair of equipment, as needed, and promptly reports the need for major repair to the appropriate party. Produces clinical documentation of patient information. |
