Radiology Tech

Summary:

The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic and/or interventional imaging procedures under the direction of a physician in accordance with department policies, procedures & protocols. This position is responsible for minimizing radiation exposure to patients, physicians, self and general public, for patient education, safety, & comfort as relevant to the requested procedure. The Rad Tech is responsible for production & transmission of diagnostic quality images for interpretation and reviewing; has accountability & responsibility for the Customer Service standards practiced in assigned area(s).

Requirements:

• ARRT or Registry Eligible
• Current State of Texas CMRT
• Current BLS Card â€" American Heart Associate preferred at hire; must obtain
• AAS in Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
• 0 â€" 3 years verifiable, radiologic specific experience
• Basic computer skills (WINDOWS technology)
• Digital imaging skills
• RIS/PACS skills
• Radiographic equipment
• Possess good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast paced environment independently; must be flexible
