BE/BC Dermatopathologist

Benefis Health System is seeking a Board Eligible /Board Certified Dermatopathologist to join our group of two general surgical pathologists as a third physician.

Department Information:

Total pathology volume of 23,000/year all inclusive (approximately 8,000 derm cases annually)

Current dermatopathologist is 80-90% derm and 10-20% general surgical pathology

• Partnership with 5 Dermatology providers, a Mohs Surgeon, and a Plastic Surgeon
• Dermatology EMR allows to see all clinical pictures
• Communication with derm providers is very easy and fast

Complete lab remodel in 2017 and updated immunohistochemistry, flexible lab about adding stains

Pathology Assistant available for grossing and all other functions

Histology lab is located across the hallway

Immunofluorescence is sent out to UCSF

If a consulted is needed, there is an easy process to send out to multiple locations

Pathologists are collegial and will share non-derm cases for 2 ^nd and 3 ^rd opinions

Level II Verified Trauma Center, 349 acute care beds, largest emergency department in Montana

300+ members on medical staff representing 40 specialties

Schedule:

Monday- Friday, 8:00 - 4:30 pm (later if requested for add-ons)
On call 1 week at a time, projected every 3 ^rd week - call is generally considered light and limited to a rare frozen section, do not do any cytology and rarely answer blood bank/lab questions
