The incumbent makes diagnosis of disease by performing such anatomical pathological examinations as biopsies and necropsies and as a clinical pathologist must engage in the management and evaluation of clinical laboratory functions in such subjects as hematology, bacteriology, serology, chemistry, parasitology, blood transfusion, diagnostic radioisotopes, and therapeutic chemical radioisotopes. The incumbent provides authoritative consultative services to the organization's healthcare providers.
