Medical Laboratory Scientist

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist with Decatur Memorial Hospital (DMH), you will work in multiple departments to help you grow and maintain your skills in all areas. This position is a generalist role offering a variety of work.

Medical Laboratory Scientists with DMH are team oriented problem solvers. Whether it is investigating a problem or trouble shooting on instrumentation and computer systems, your ability to solve issues as they arise is desired in this position.

In this position, you will work with many departments and have the opportunity to work with abnormal cases, creating variety in your everyday work. As part of this team, you would communicate frequently with multiple units and departments with lots of exposure to all areas of the hospital.

The successful Medical Laboratory Scientist at DMH loves to investigate issues as they arise, can think on their feet and is incredibly detail oriented. This person is able to work independently and properly prioritize their work.
