The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine has been a leader in process improvement (LEAN/Six Sigma) at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. This work has led to beautifully renovated space designed for e ciency of work ow. The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine has several yellow, green and black belts certi ed through the Value Institute. The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine has lab sections that fall within three divisions: Anatomic Pathology, Laboratory Medicine and Clinical Genomics & Advanced Technologies. The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine has a strong regional and outreach presence performing approximately 3 million billable test procedures annually.

We are the largest laboratory in New Hampshire providing Pathology and Clinical Laboratory services to the D-H physician practices, D-H hospital a liates as well to independent practices and hospitals throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.
The laboratory is comprised of 30 nationally recognized faculty members, each experts in their pathology sub-specialty eld.
We have over 300 technical and support sta members working within the Dartmouth-Hitchcock (D-H) Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine.
