Eye Bank Coordinator:
The Eye Bank Coordinator (EBC) is responsible for maximizing the gift of ocular donation in Arizona. Through education, outreach and communication with the public, physicians, surgery schedulers, and eye bank partners. The EBC will coordinate the evaluation, distribution, and processing of ocular tissues for transplant, research and training. The Eye Bank Coordinator (EBC) will ensure that all ocular processes are consistent with Eye Bank Association of America’s Medical Standards (EBAA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines and Donor Network of Arizona’s policies and procedures. The EBC will ensure accurate documentation in the distribution of ocular tissues and communicating with ocular partners. The EBC will also assist in the maintenance of the eye bank clinical laboratory areas, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or job experience Minimum Experience One to two years of recovery experience
Minimum Field of Expertise Eye banking background Surgical technology background General knowledge of biological sciences Preferred Education Certified Eye Bank Technician
Preferred Experience Two to three years of recovery experience
