Vista Pathology Laboratory is recruiting for a cytology supervisor for our independent pathology, cytology and flow cytometry facility located in the beautiful Rogue River Valley of southern Oregon.
We process approximately 14,000 ThinPrep Paps and 2200 non-gyn cytology specimens annually, as well as about 7,000 HPV tests. We offer a professional but comfortable and supportive work environment and a close working relationship with our cytopathologists.
The Cytology Supervisor is responsible for all the regulatory preparation, documentation, and maintaining CAP readiness at all times. The Cytology Supervisor is also responsible for writing and updating all Cytology Standard Operating Procedures. The Supervisor also actively works with the Information Technology in order to further develop our Laboratory Information System platform in the cytology department. The Supervisor is required to monitor quality performance for the department. As the face of the department, the Supervisor will collaborate and engage with both internal and external clients.

Bachelor degree in Biological Science from an accredited college or university
Minimum of five years of full-time experience as a working cytotechnologist within the preceding 10 years, with gynecologic and non-gynecologic cell samples
Knowledge of related theory, principles, practices, applicable instrumentation, analytical methods, quality control, statistical analysis, current government regulations and leadership.
