We’re seeking an experienced Histotechnologist Supervisor to oversee activities in the Histology Department. You’ll provide expert clinical guidance to staff and work closely with faculty leadership to implement new testing procedures and integrate new technologies to the laboratory. You’ll manage hiring and training, help staff become accustomed with new equipment and maintain quality standards within the laboratory.
You’ll need a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience in a Histology or immunohistochemistry laboratory. HT, HTL ASCP or QIHC ASCP certification is required and supervisory experience is preferred. A technical knowledge of immunohistochemistry staining and antibody validation is required. You’ll need to be compliant with the College of American Pathologists standards as they relate to IHC.
