As a Medical Technician, you will perform duties such as:
Perform a variety of medical tests in Hematology/Coagulation, Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, and Diagnostic Immunology.
Perform a wide variety of test procedures, ranging in difficulty from routine to fairly complex, using established procedures and state-of-the art equipment and instruments.
Collect specimens by venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
Perform both routine and fairly complex diagnostic laboratory procedures in accordance with prescribed techniques and methods outlined in the section standard operation of procedures.
Properly document all corrective action taken for any discrepancies and out of range controls.
Perform duties in support of Blood Drives throughout the installation and community.
Prepare patients using sterile techniques.
Conduct necessary quality control procedures.
