Health Network Laboratories (HNL) is a multiregional medical laboratory serving the needs of the public and healthcare communities in PA and NJ. Health Network Laboratories, a leader in integrated clinical diagnostic testing and pathology services for the healthcare community, is seeking a Director, Clinical Laboratory Operations to oversee the operations of the assigned laboratory divisions to include human resource performance management and development, billing/reimbursement, business planning, strategic planning and project management. The selected individual will desire a position in a fast paced, customer orientated, laboratory environment.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
Develops and produces measurement tools to monitor division performance and provides these to Executive Management on a regular and timely basis.
Analyzes production data and adjusts operations to meet revenue and profit goals.
Effectively communicates/collaborates with other operating divisions to ensure execution of corporate plans and projects to include retention, growth and expansion of market share.
Participates in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, and coordination for new and emerging products/technologies.
Coordinates technical product development to include estimates of potential profits and start-up cost.
Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, marketing, and finance to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
Provides financial and technical justification for product selection and definition.
Communicates to executive management an overview of all products under development and their stage of development.
Develops and implements methods and procedures for effective project management with attention to resource allocation, schedule, cost, scope and quality.
Effectively assumes sponsorship role or clearly delegates sponsorship role for all projects in division and ensures accountability for project execution and outcomes.
Effectively manages human resources by mentoring, coaching and developing personnel. Develops an appropriate succession plan for divisions.
Master’s degree or equivalent; or 3-5 years in a leadership position: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
