The Manager of Anatomic Pathology is responsible for the Anatomic Pathology section of the Department of Pathology. Areas of responsibility include Histology, Grossing Lab, Cytology, Pathology Transcription/Office, Morgue. The person assures quality laboratory service within the guidelines set by regulatory agencies. The Manager ensures that all regulatory standards and hospital standards are implemented fairly, promptly and appropriate documentation is maintained.
Education and Work Experience: B.S. and H.T.L. or H.T. or C.T. or P.A. or equivalent or eligible. Five (5) years experience in Technical area. Five years of experience or successful completion of a NAACLS accredited histotechnology program or cytotechnologist program or Pathologist Assistant. H.T.L. (ASCP) or H.T. (ASCP) or C.T. (ASCP) or P.A. (ASCP) Must possess skills in customer service, quality control, knowledge of regulatory standards.
