Job Summary/Purpose: Coordinates / oversees section related to staffing workstations, test performance, and workflow activities. Implements new procedures and policies; participates in performance improvement; accesses competency of staff; and schedules staff. Serves as a resource to less experienced staff. Performs independent problem solving.
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, or related scientific discipline and five years work experience.
Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related scientific discipline and five years of experience as a Medical Technologist in a supervisory, teaching or consulting capacity with progressive experience in coordinating daily operations. Specialty certification in a relative clinical discipline preferred. Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Certifying Agency (NCA) required.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCPBOC) or NCA required.
